Stagefight:

Stagefight (which is literally a "staged fight") is a huge part of the stunt industry.

Stunt on stage demands so much from stuntmen and actors - the reaction is imminent and often you work with scrappy budgets and small workspaces.

Most of the time, weapons are involved and that take a lot of practice and experience before you can create believable and amazing sequences.

Kicks and punches will be flying, but you will have to concentrate - for your own and your partner's safety… and of course, the spectator's! What can you do, to make this fight look real and how do you close those gaps between your fist and the victims face? And what about sound FX?

Klaus is serving a hard punch to Jacob.

Fight from "Treasure Island" performed at Folketeatret in Copenhagen, Denmark - here we have Klaus Hjuler to the left, Bo and Anne centre and Jacob kneeling down to the right.

This is real LIVE ACTION STUNT, and it can be extremely satisfying to make people scream in fear… just 15 feet away from you and your broad sword!

Speaking of swords, we are very lucky to be able to present 2 of this year's workshop's guest teachers:

Tina Robinson Hansen and Bo Thomas. From Nordic Stagefight Society (NSFS).

Both of them are talented stage fighters, and they will show you how to handle rapiers, daggers and broad swords.

They can really make this seem easy, but it is very difficult to handle the weapons the right way. Tina Robinson Hansen and Bo Thomas have trained for many years, both in Denmark and abroad. If anyone knows how to do it - it's them!

Remember - safety first...
