Handgun Handling:

The Matrix Series (Wachowski Brothers), Saving Private Ryan (Steven Spielberg), Desperado (Robert Rodriguez) and Hard Boiled (John Woo) are movies that all contain amazing gun-fights. The actors make it look easy, but it takes along time to learn to control the firearms in that way.

At European Stunt School we present one of our guest teachers - Klaus Hjuler - who will take us through the process of creating gun-fights.

Learn how to handle handguns professionally and safely on film and theatre productions.

The classes will cover how guns function, how to act professionally on a film set - both behind and in front of the camera, how to move and perform with a gun in hand, and how to fire them in action-related sequences.

Naturally, we use only blank firing revolvers and pistols.

Although firing blanks, they still pack a punch and should be treated as a real firearm!

Whether it's a broad sword, an axe or a gun - it's a weapon and NOT a toy! When you hold a sword or an axe in your hand, you are constantly aware of where you are swinging or pointing it (because you see the blade). When holding a gun, you have to be just as aware to where you point the barrel and when your finger is near the trigger.

A gun firing blanks - can easily cause damage to your eyes even within 10 ft., and permanently damage your hearing!

That's why it's important to receive instructions and acquire knowledge about firearms, before the Director yells "Action".
